Tested on 1.5 & Windows 10

Loved:

  • Love the music and the subtle hints that we hear when we hover an item. Really soothing and subtle. Really good feedback.
  • Really like the subtle hints of life in the background, I saw myself just watching it and hearing it. Cool stuff.
  • Love the detail on double clicking to a different zone, that I go in an instant instead of waiting for her to move there. Wasn't expecting it but really liked it.
  • Love the humour of the game overall, the talk action with static objects are really fun stuff.

Suggestions:

  • I don't love the menu placement, I feel that there is too much "noise" from the background, I feel that putting the menu more to the left where there is less foliage and less noise around it, would make it easier to scan and would blend better. I'm using a widescreen 21:4 (3440x1440), not sure if it has a role on the menu placement.
  • When reading dialogue is a bit frustrating as I'm constantly reading moving text. I don't wait for the text to appear to read it, so having to read it moving and sometimes switching lines all of a sudden, I don't feel it's efficient at getting me to read and be focused on what I'm reading and look around to see what the characters are doing. My suggestion would be to remove the movement while the dialogue is being built, maybe the dialogue can grow but the words are already in their final position, just so it's easier to read.

Seems to need a fix:

  • In the intro, I didn't hear a sound when we hit the animal on the road.
  • After the intro, the guy starts with his legs inside of the world, and only when we gain control over our character his moves get to the seated position.

Disliked:

  • For me it was a bit frustrating the combination of items. Mostly because some combinations didn't felt to make much sense to me. I feel that I just got them combined because I was testing them out, not necessarily because conscientiously I wanted to join them.

Will add more points on the next playthrough.

Cheers!
